Privacy Policy

From your sign-in: when you enter through Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. Nothing else is requested from your Google account.

As you read: which chapters you open, how long you spend on each, your reading speed, the passages you highlight, the reaction you attach to them, and any comment you choose to write.

What you tell us: your questionnaire answers, and the reason you give when you pause a manuscript or ask to switch to another.

To protect the text: simple signals such as how quickly passages are being highlighted and whether text is copied, so that automated readers can be told apart from people.

To improve the reading experience, to track engagement with the manuscript, and to collect feedback on it — what to revise, where readers slow down or lose interest, which passages land. It also keeps access working: approvals, pauses and switch requests are all decided from this data. It is never used for advertising.

In our own backend database, behind authentication and row-level access rules, not in the page you are looking at. Only the author and the site’s administrators can see an individual reader’s record. Mailing-list addresses are kept on a separate list from beta-reader data and are used only for news about the books.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@zoandros.com from your sign-in address and we will remove your profile, reading activity, highlights, reactions, comments, questionnaire answers and switch requests, and take you off the mailing list. Deleting your record ends your access to the manuscript, since the account is what grants it.

Google authentication only. We run no advertising networks and no third-party analytics trackers, and we do not sell or rent reader data to anyone.
